Woot!

I’ve been following Woot! for awhile now – I unsubscribed from their emails awhile back, so I fell off a bit in terms of purchasing items from them, but once in awhile I visit the site (like today) and remember how awesome it is.

Woot! offers multiple daily deals in short-term sales across 11 different categories:

  • Home
  • Electronics
  • Computers
  • Tools & Garden
  • Sport
  • Accessories & Watches
  • Kids
  • Shirts
  • Wine
  • Sellout
  • Side Deals

There’s certainly no shortage of options, just a shortage of time. Most deals only run for 24 hours, so it capitalizes on users making a quick decision on whether or not they want a product. Once you commit, you are really committed. Woot! only accepts returns for damaged and defective items, not for personal reasons or ‘buyer’s remorse’.

Who wouldn’t want a Mood Shirt, featured today?

All kidding aside, there’s some awesome stuff on here. Just looking today, I see at least 5 things I want…I should probably get off the site now…haha!

My suggestion to  you: get on their email list for categories you are most likely to need items from, and get a daily overview on what the offerings are.

If You’re Paying Full Price at LOFT, You’re Doing it Wrong

Hey Savers! As my work day dies down and I check my personal email, I realized I hadn’t let you in on one of my favorite stores to save at: LOFT.

LOFT EMAILS

A screenshot of my inbox, searching LOFT

LOFT is a high quality store, providing any woman clothes for her life of leisure or the workplace – it’s immensely versatile, which is why it’s one of my favorites.

An additional reason why it’s one of my top picks is because they are nonstop sending me awesome deals. Whether the deal is online, in-stores only, or ‘limited time’, I can always rely on LOFT almost DAILY to have huge savings for me.

They discount both their new items AND their clearance section so regularly that I feel confident in saying: If you are paying full price at LOFT, you’re doing it wrong.

Sign up for their mailing list today to become a LOFT Insider and make sure you don’t miss out on any of their incredible savings: Sign Up!

FREE FOOD! No, but really.

The one thing better than getting a good deal is getting something for FREE. The one thing better than getting something for FREE is getting something for FREE ON YOUR BIRTHDAY. That’s right.

This year I really capitalized on birthday week and signed up for 3 e-clubs in preparation. Then….then I reaped the rewards:

1) Jersey Mike’s Subs

When you sign up for the Jersey Mike’s Subs Email Club, you receive bi-monthly emails about specials, coupons, deals, featured sandwiches, etc. BUT, for your birthday, they send you a free sub & drink coupon. Sign up here!

2) Au Bon Pain

When you sign up for the Au Bon Pain eClub, you get a FREE travel mug, exclusive offers, FREE birthday lunch, anniversary gift, and insider news. I was a bit skeptical on my birthday when I walked in to get a salad. I generally like a ton of toppings and decided that since it was birthday week, I didn’t want to hold back. I maxed out my salad, and what would have usually been a $15 NYC make your own salad was ENTIRELY free. Too good to be true. Thanks, ABP! Sign up here!

3) Benihana

Honestly, I am borderline reluctant to share this one because I feel like I have stumbled on TREASURE. For the past 4 years I have had this one up my sleeve. My favorite, favorite special occasion meal is Japanese Hibachi. It gets pretty pricey pretty quickly, so it is almost always saved for special occasions only. Here’s the secret: sign up for ‘The Chef’s Table’ with Benihana, and during your birthday month they will send you a $30 Birthday Certificate – no joke. That is an entire meal! And it is really that easy. Sign up here!

My Latest Crush: The Clymb®

If you haven’t checked it out yet, you need to run, not walk [no pun intended], to http://www.theclymb.com and sign up. I often find that when I sign up for ‘discount retail sites’, I end up buying things unnecessarily. Not so much the case here.

The Clymb® offres 50-75% off of retail prices on the best outdoor gear, apparel, and even trips around the globe, w/ free membership.

We have a fairly active family between extracurricular sports as well as my husband’s and I’s regular gym regimens. I’ve bought a ton from this site – big names at low prices. From $20 girl’s swimsuits from Roxy, to $15 New Balance gym shoes, to a $35 hiking backpack, to $20 gym wear, it’s been win after win with this website in my household.

As if the prices aren’t low enough, they often send out brief additional sales – that’s how I nabbed those New Balance’s for such an insane price – they were an additional 50% off the already discounted price!

I’d give it a go – I don’t buy things from it regularly, but whenever I need something, they always have it at the absolute best price.

What’s the Deal w/ Ebates?

ebates

Ebates

I’ve been hearing more and more people trying to sell me on Ebates recently – today was my day to investigate what’s up with this site! Is it legitimate? Is it real? Frankly, it sounded just a liiiittle bit too good to be true in my opinion.

Here’s what I found:

  • Joining: Upon signing up for Ebates,  you get an immediate $10 Welcome Bonus or a $10 Walmart Gift Card – no gimmicks.
  • Once you join, you can search and find any store you’d normally shop at. The selection is incredible – I honestly couldn’t find a place I’d typically shop at NOT within their selection. Some of these even count for DOUBLE cash back stores. Here’s some that are particularly big names, but the selection is incredibly vast, so please take a look for yourself: Amazon, Macy’s, QVC, Nordstrom, Ebay, Gap….
  • Check Ebates for additional coupons before you start shopping to discount your purchases even more. If there’s nothing, don’t worry – just shop normally via their links.
  • Once you place an order on one of these sites, CashBack is added to your Ebates account

THAT’S REALLY IT. IT IS THAT EASY. We all online shop, so we might as well make some of our money back while we do so. I have 2 friends that have made $50+! Better catch up….I’m sold.

#PrimeDayFail

There’s a few gems at Amazon Prime Day, but there’s quite the backlash occurring in the Twittersphere.

Umm…Amazon Prime Day?!

Why is today the first time I have heard about this?! Amazon Prime Day has officially started TODAY, July 15, 2015.

First and foremost, let’s talk Amazon Prime – is it worth it? $100 a year for the following:

  • FREE two-day shipping for eligible purchases (most things I’ve ever needed)
  • Unlimited streaming of movies and TV shows with Prime Instant Video
  • Ability to borrow books from the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library

If you use Amazon enough (I sure do – anything from wedding and baby registries to dog food to household needs I will purchase via Amazon) – the free shipping enough will pay for itself and more – I can’t back this enough.

Moving on, today I heard, for the first time, about Amazon Prime DAY. UMM WHAT.

Amazon Prime Day

Amazon Prime day is the site’s way of premiering what they say are ‘more deals than Black Friday’ – exclusively for prime members. NBC News did some digging and highlighted the best savings so far – I certainly urge you to take a look – get ahead on holiday shopping, find convenient discounted birthday gifts, or hey, treat yourself!

Some really solid deals for all types of audiences. To read more, check out the full article here: Amazon Prime Day Highlights

Pro Tip: If you aren’t an Amazon Prime member, you can sign up for a FREE 30 Day Trial – that’d qualify you for the Prime Day eligibility. BUT – do NOT forget to unsubscribe if you aren’t feeling it – after 30 days you’ll get charged for the full year! Tread with caution 🙂

My Starbucks Rewards

My Starbucks Rewards, aka, my lifeblood.

As much as I try to make my own coffee at home, a Starbucks coffee on the go is both unavoidable and unrivaled! All you have to do is register a gift card (who doesn’t have these lying around from holiday stocking stuffers?) and earn a ‘star’ per purchase. You can achieve different levels depending on your frequency of purchase, but every 5 stars = free refills, and after 30 stars, every 12 stars =1 free drink or food item. Not a shabby deal if you are a frequent Starbucks drinker.

My favorite part of the reward program? A free drink of ANY SIZE or a food item during your birthday month! Pretty great, and I’ve used it for two years straight now!

They also send you deals throughout the month – BOGOs, special deals for special times, etc. available only to rewards programs users. VIP Status!

Download the app today – why not?

CVS ExtraCare

One of my absolute favorite things in life is going to CVS, buying my day to day products, and then getting an unreal amount of coupons with my receipt after scanning my ExtraCare card. This may sound crazy, but these are some of the ONLY printed coupons that I save and actually use, as I use CVS as my pharmacy and go fairly often. Not only do you get specific product coupons, but sometimes you get  ExtraBucks® Rewards which legit knocks dollars off of your bill.

This youtube video sums it up:

I’d recommend anyone who visits CVS regularly to get a card – you will, guaranteed, save a ton of money.
